FORTE SOFIA

Intitolato alla madre dell'Imperatore, Sofia di Baviera, è simile, nel ridotto centrale, alle torri di S: Giuliano dalle quali differisce per le maggiori difese al piede. Armato con 14 pezzi doveva battere le colline di Avesa e Quinzano e la Valdonega. Fra le due guerre è stato adibito a colombai Militare. Attualmente in uso al Corpo Forestale dello Stato.
